January is a time of new beginnings. Of the 10 Fasting/Detox programs WEC holds each year, this is one of my favorites. It seems that everyone is so ready and open to make changes. Certainly, we feel a great need to clean out after all the indulgence and stress of the holidays.
Juice Fast programs will be held Jan 6-13, Feb 17, 24 and Mar 17-24. There are 7-day, 5-day and weekend programs for New Students & Alumni. We also offer Juice Only programs for Alumni.
"Tune up For 2017: 6 weeks to Better Health" will be held on Tuesdays from 6 to 8 pm beginning on Jan. 17. Dr. Tammy Stenberg, DC will join me to teach the series. This program is designed for people who can not attend daytime classes, those that want a good follow up to the January Fast or those who are preparing for the Feb. Fast.
Hope you can join us!

This is a wonderful time of year. Faith, Family, Friends & Food.
But there’s also poor diet, over-indulgence, stress, lack of sleep & seasonal illness. Our bodies, minds and spirits often enter the New Year running on empty.
So how do you get back on track, and move thru the remaining season with good health and grace? Here are some simple tips that may help.
1. Priority Management. Howe important is each thing you face? Will it matter in another week, month or year? Start by scheduling time for YOU. Then make a short list of what really needs to be done that day. The other things can be moved to another time, delegated or eliminated.
2. Nourish your spirit. Daily devotions, prayer and worship are the boosters of your core being.
3. Turn it over! With each stress, problem or worry you face, Breathe, Pray, Prioritize and know that God is in control!
4. Get enough sleep. 10 pm to 6 am is a great schedule for honoring your natural cycle. Quiet your mind and activity starting 1 hr. prior. Do not check your phone, computer or I-pad in the 60 min before bedtime. The light from the screen will interfere with your melatonin production and busy your mind.
Sleep in a dark, quiet, well-ventilated room, free of EMFs (unplug, turn off wireless, move devices to another room). Use a sleep mask and ear plugs if light & noise are factors.
5. Eat Healthy food. Eat the rainbow of colors, lots of veggies & fruits, whole foods and eliminate the junk and fake ingredients. Substitute healthier, whole food ingredients in your favorite recipes. Use lots of herbs and spices. If you make 2 or 3 better choices each day, that will accumulate to 60 to 90 better choices in the next month. That makes a huge difference regarding weight, immune system, mood & overall health.
Eating out at restaurants, other people’s homes and various parties can be a danger zone. Try sampling small portions of food. Watch the empty calories, sugar, fat. Focus on the healthier, colorful, whole food options. Drink lots of water. Choose the simplest drinks.
6. Utilize Healing Techniques. Essential Oils, Massage, Exercise, Stretching, Saunas, Energy Work, Chiropractic, Colonics can all be helpful.
7. Light Detox Select 1 day a week or 1 weekend each month to prioritize your health.
1. Breath Deeply, exercise, stretch, dry brush & take a detox bath
2. Fresh Veggie Juice & 1 Wheatgrass shot or powdered green drink
3. 16 oz. of Green Smoothie (recipe & video at www.juicefast.info)
4. 1 Raw Soup & 1 Salad-based Meal
5. Healthy Snacks
6. 2 to 3 quarts of fresh water (herbal teas count)
7. Detox supplements & oils

What a great week! Thank you Purple Frog Gardens, Raven Ridge Farm and Anderberg's Garden for the awesome produce. 10 people joined me in the classroom. Another 10 did Juice Only. We had wonderful food prep classes on Mon & Wed. We toured the Whitefish Farmer's Market on Tuesday.
One of my favorite recipes was the Creamy Corn Chowder. Ingredients: garlic, sweet onion, lemon juice, several varieties of sweet peppers, sweet corn cut from the stalk during class, basil and diced tomato. We blended 2/3 of the ingredients creamy and folded in the other 1/3 diced. We stirred in some sprouted baby green lentils. YUMMY!
There's still lots of smoke in the air. Praying for a wind direction change. But it's been a great day. Completed work on the new website. got the domains switched. www.juicefast.info is looking good!

The next Juice Fast is Sept 11 -18
I didn't keep up with the Blog -- sorry about that. But the rest of the Juice Fast was awesome. I taught thru Tuesday (Day #4). The students were all releasing toxins from their bodies quite well. Most had very successful Liver Flushes. We had a terrific Mental/Emotional/Spiritual class on Sunday. We opened a lot of eyes with the Environment Detox class on Monday. Parasites class on Tuesday was a bit "creepy" for some, but they got the message. Kim Fedderly graciously taught for me as I headed to Dallas for E.O. Training. Topics: Breaking the Fast, Acid/Alkaline, Transition to Healthy Diet, Nutrition, Sprouting, Sea Veggies, etc. Friday's Raw Food Prep class was fun as it always is. Thanks Kim!
May 20-24, 2015 -- The very long days were SO worth it! Dr. David Stewart is an amazing author and teacher. His C.A.R.E. organization is well organized to train up a new generation of Practitioners and Teachers. Classes included: Healing Oils of the Bible, Essential Oils Chemistry, VitaFlex Therapy, Raindrop Therapy and Emotional/Spiritual release using Essential Oils. The 60 students who attended were so blessed and grateful. I'll be signing up for more classes!
The May 15-22 Juice Fast group is our 159th program, with over 3,000 in-class participants since June 2001. This month, there are 12 people in the Classroom and another 18 Juice-Only Alumni fasting on their own.
The 3-hour Introductory Class was on Friday evening, with Saturday being the first full fast day. Everyone got off to a good start and were cruising along during the day. But I cautioned the Students, that Saturday evening might be the toughest of the fast (from a temptation standpoint). Sure enough, several reported today wanting to quit last night, but they stuck with it and were very grateful.
A couple of students reported already passing "ropes" (the putrified, dark-colored mucoid plaque, sausage-casing type material in the small intestine, which has built up over decades, starting in infancy after transitioning from mamma;s milk to Standard American diet of cow's milk, white flour, sugar (all excess mucous producing foods). These ropes break apart and slough off during the fast because of the juices, herbs, enzymes, etc. in our Program. It passes into the colon, where it is rinsed out using enemas and colonics). More students will experience this in the coming days.
Some students are sleeping long hours and very well. Some had minor nausea or headaches, but these are already resolving. One student had severe pain in the back of both upper legs last night, but this was better today. I applied Young Living Pan-Away oil and had her lay on the BioMat for 30 minutes. That really helped.
Today's class material included the chapter on Emotional Release and Forgiveness. It was a very powerful session and, after class, I applied Essential Oils to several of the students, along with prayer, and there was further release.
I had an awesome experience before class today, with one of the Juice Only Students. She has done our program many times, but has a had a special experience this time. She has been through prolonged personal stress for decades and had some resolution 6 months ago. Focusing on herself and her complete healing, this is her third fast in the past 6 months. The other fasts offered good physical release, but during this one, she is finally experiencing significant emotional release. I also anointed her with Essential Oil (frankincense), we shared a prayer and the tears flowed as we acknowledge them with joy. It was awesome.
Today was Kidney-Bladder flush day. Looking forward to hearing the student's reports tomorrow. Tomorrow night will be Liver-Gallbladder flush night.
I never get tired of teaching this class!
